Real scenario that happened a few years ago in the Shell Ecomarathon team I was part of:
Mechanical Engineer: Your electrical motor put out too much torque and bent the driveshaft.
Electrical Engineer: No, your driveshaft was too weak.
Mechenical Engineer: But you were supposed to limit the torque in the motorcontroller.
Me(part of the management team): Come on guys, it’s broken already, just go and fix it. We have to have it running again tomorrow.
